Gregory Hartley (Atlanta, GA) started his career with the U.S. Army, teaching interrogation and resistance to interrogation, as well as providing interrogation support to Special Forces in Operation Desert Storm. He then translated that military experience to businesses. Gregory has served as a full-time director and consultant to companies and provided body language and behavioral analysis for print, TV, and radio. Along with his coauthor Maryann Karinch, he has published six books including How to Spot a Liar (Career Press, 2005) and I Can Read You Like a Book (Career Press, 2007).

Maryann Karinch (Estes Park, CO) is the co-author of six books about human behavior, deception and body language. She has also written books about business and mental/physical conditioning.  Maryann's corporate background includes senior communications positions with several technology companies.
