Text Updates for starting projects in the retail version of Premiere Pro
The retail version of the Premiere Pro program uses a slightly different method for starting your projects than that described in the book. The following text updates are available. Please note that they are included as PDF files - you will need a program such as Adobe's Adobe Reader to view them.
  • Session 1 - session01_errata.pdf
  • Session 2 - CB_errata.pdf
Both are available on the download page.
CD-ROM Installing Author Material from the CD-ROM
Please see the following clarification to the instructions given for installing the author material onto the CD-ROM:

You can use the CD-ROM interface to browse and view the tutorial files, but in order to use them you need to copy them from the CD-ROM to your computer. To do this, simply drag the files directly from the window opened by the interface into a folder on your local hard drive. If you're using a Windows operating system other than Windows XP, you'll have to change the read-only status of the copied tutorial files. Otherwise, you won't be able to write over the files as you work through the tutorials. To do so, select all the files in a folder that you've copied to your computer. Right-click one of the files and choose Properties. In the Properties dialog box, uncheck Read-only.
