Waldemar Adam received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and retired as a professor at the University of Würzburg in 2002. Presently he is emeritus professor at the University of Puerto Rico. His research interests include high-energy molecules (dioxiranes, dioxetanes), chemi- and bioluminescence, photochemistry, laser chemistry, cyclic peroxides, singlet oxygen, oxygen transfer, azoalkanes, diradicals, cycloadditions, and biomedical applications. In these diverse areas he has contributed 1000 publications.

Cong-Gui Zhao received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Würzburg in 1999 and is an associate professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio. His research interests include asymmetric synthesis and reactions, small ring compounds, oxidation, and phosphorus chemistry.

CHANTU R. SAHA-MÖLLER received his PhD from the University of Hamburg in 1986 and, since 1987, has been a senior research associate at the University of Würzburg. He has coauthored over 175 publications in the field of organic chemistry.

KAVITHA JAKKA received her PhD in natural product chemistry from Sri Venkateswara University, India, in 2003 and is a research chemist at the Pharmaceutics International Inc. Her research interests include natural product chemistry, asymmetric synthesis, and oxidation.
