Religious Life in America

This series will consist of a number of books examining the main religious denominations in America. Each book will be approximately 200-230 pages, which is around 70-80,000 words. The aim of the book is provide a rounded picture of the particular denomination and their role in American society, so each book should encompass a brief historical overview of the development of the denomination; an examination of the theology, and the practice of worship; a discussion of the social and political context in which the group operates and an examination of their role within American society. Each book will offer an historical overview followed by a thematic structure covering key issues such as theology, worship, gender, economics, politics, etc.
