Series Editor(s): Patricia Donovan and Grace Edwards
The ‘Essential Midwifery Practice’ series will provide qualified midwives and midwifery students with the latest developments in midwifery practice and research. These accessible, contemporary texts will emphasise the latest evidence-based developments and their implications for clinical practice. Each book contains an initial chapter which will set the scene for each book, the engagement of service users will be explicit within each book and each chapter will have a list of key points summarised at the end. In addition, each chapter will contain ‘Questions for personal reflection’ and suggested further reading.
The ‘Essential Midwifery Practice’ series will:
- Address the lack of contemporary midwifery text books
- Provide a comprehensive and in-depth series focusing on contemporary midwifery issues and initiatives
- Disseminate midwifery research findings in a coherent, logical and systematic format
- Underpin midwifery practice, ensuring women and their families are offered an up-to-date midwifery service.
