Daniel C. Esty (New Haven, CT) is the co-author of the business bestseller Green to Gold.  He was environmental advisor to the Obama presidential campaign and transition team, and is the Hillhouse Professor at Yale University and Director of the Center for Business and the Environment at Yale www.yale.edu/CBEY. He comments frequently on environment issues on television, radio, and in such publications as The New York Times, The Economist, Foreign Policy, and The Financial Times. As a senior official at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, he helped to craft air and water pollution regulations and government policies affecting waste, food safety, and other issues, and was also the principal architect of the environmental provisions for the North American Free Trade Agreement.
