Alan Singer, Ph.D., is a researcher and family therapist who’s made it his life's work to study, treat and advise couples who want to figure out how many children to have and when to have them. Dr. Singer has been on the Fox Morning News, and MSNBC, and has appeared  in USA Today, and the Huffington Post. He writes a regular column for the sister newspaper of USA Today, the Home News Tribune of New Jersey. He lectures, has workshops and trainings, and has excellent connections with the American Psychological Association, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Population Association of America. He has an endorsement from Stephen Dubner, co-author of Freakonomics, as well as blurbs from William Doherty, David Popenoe, Chiam Waxman, and other academic and clinical leaders in the field of family success and happiness. Dr. Singer works in New Jersey, where he lives with his wife and four children.
