About the Author

Goutam Brahmachari obtained his Ph.D. from Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan (India), where he is now Associate Professor of Chemistry. He is the author and editor of several books, including a volume on the chemistry of natural products, and is a member of the Indian Association of Cultivation of Science (IACS). His research interests focus on chemical and biological studies of phytochemicals from medicinal plants.
