Bud Conrad (San Francisco, CA) is the Chief Economist at Casey Research, holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Yale and an MBA from Harvard. He has held positions with IBM, CDC, Amdahl, and Tandem. His engineering methods applied to our financial system go beyond what traditional economists do to interpret markets. He served as a local board member of the National Association of Business Economics and teaches graduate courses in investing at Golden Gate University. 

As Chief Economist at Casey Research, he identifies the macroeconomic direction for the investment decisions and writes for several of the investment letters that deal with gold and energy. Bud Conrad has been a futures investor for 25 years and a full-time investor for more than a decade. He has been featured on CNBC, CNN, and Fox.
