Jean Kazez has taught philosophy at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX for almost twenty years. She is the author of The Weight of Things: Philosophy and the Good Life (Wiley-Blackwell, 2007). Her writing about ethics, religion, happiness, and the arts has appeared in several magazines.
