John Mumford (Fairfax, VA) is the founder of The Washington Group Consultants, LLC.  His consulting firm works with Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T and nonprofits such as the American Red Cross and more than a hundred private and other nonprofit clients.  This work includes all phases of strategic and operations management.

John is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.  As an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he served two wartime tours of duty in Vietnam.  After concluding his military service, he obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School.  John's career has encompassed more than four decades of experience in the military, government and business.
