Brent D. Taylor is a respected social and market researcher and the author of The Outsider’s Edge: The Making of Self-Made Billionaires (2007).  Over the past twenty years Brent has provided advice to Australian governments and large corporations. He was a director of KPMG for four years and ran KPMG’s Centre for Consumer Behaviour. 

Taylor was born in Stratford, New Zealand and completed his secondary education in Tauranga. He gained a bachelor of Engineering from Auckland University and then worked as a professional engineer in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. On leaving the profession he became a professional photographer and settled permanently in Australia.

Taylor received an honours degree in psychology from Melbourne University. He lives in Australia.
