The American Geophysical Union (AGU) is the world's leading society of Earth and space science. With more than 62,000 members worldwide, AGU is largest single organization dedicated to all of the geophysical sciences. Since its founding, AGU is dedicated to furthering the sciences of geophysics through the individual efforts of our members and in cooperation with other national and international scientific organizations. These goals are met through publishing scientific books and journals, sponsoring scientific meetings and a variety of other educational and scientific activities.
